30 Years of PROMECON – Three Decades of Innovation in Process Optimization

Barleben, August 2025 – This year, PROMECON celebrates a special milestone: For 30 years, we have been developing, manufacturing, and delivering high-precision measurement technology for the optimization of thermal processes driven by passion, technological expertise, and a clear mission to help our customers succeed worldwide.

Founded in 1995, PROMECON was never just a conventional measurement technology provider. From the very beginning, our aim has been to make complex industrial processes more transparent, controllable, and efficient. What started as a visionary idea has grown into a globally operating company, headquartered in Barleben near Magdeburg. Our systems are used in power plants, cement plants, the steel industry, and waste incineration wherever precision, reliability, and efficiency are essential.

With many international patents, our solutions cover a broad spectrum of advanced measuring technologies – from microwave-based systems to triboelectric and infrared process gas monitoring. To mark the anniversary, several events are taking place throughout the year with customers and partners. The focus is not only on reflecting on the past but especially on looking ahead: new applications, booming markets in non-ferrous mining and smelting, digital solutions, and a continued commitment to sustainability and plant availability.

Another highlight of our anniversary year was the company-wide team event in August, where colleagues from all departments came together to celebrate 30 years of PROMECON with appreciation, team spirit, and a strong vision for the future.
